Shipping Insurance

Shipping fees do not include insurance against loss or damage unless it is provided by USPS as part of the selected service.  The responsibility of ECROS Technology for your purchased items ends when they are delivered to USPS for shipment.  Very few losses have occurred and it is probably not worth insuring low value orders.  However, you may elect to purchase insurance and this page tells you how.  The price of insurance is the actual cost plus a $1.00 handling charge for filling out the forms.

Insurance of Shipments outside the USA

USPS Insured Mail service can only be combined with certain delivery services.  USPS does not offer insurance of First-Class Mail International (Airmail Letter-post) shipments. Shipments outside the USA can only be insured if they are sent by Airmail Parcel Post.  NOW DISCONTINUED!

Airmail Parcel Post

The table at right shows the cost of adding insurance to a USPS Airmail Parcel Post shipment other than to Canada for up to $500 in covered value.  The rightmost column includes the handling charge and is what you should add to your payment.  For insurance of Airmail Parcel Post to Canada, use the lower amounts in the table above for Priority Mail.

Adding the Cost to your Payment

Paying by PayPal® (including Credit Card)

To add the cost of shipping insurance to your PayPal® payment, enter the amount you have calculated below and click the Add To Cart button.

Paying by Money Order or Check

If you are using the PayPal® shopping card to record and total your order, follow the instructions above for Paying by PayPal® (then print the order instead of proceeding to the checkout).

Otherwise, simply add the amount you have calculated to your check.  If you wish, you can send your order and ask ECROS Technology to calculate shipping and insurance fees.  Please specify the method of shipping and that you want shipping insurance.
